Maurilio Mina
(Bassplayer)

Maurilio, or as his friends call him Mo, hails from Ticino, Switzerland, a small beautiful country in the Alps. His mother has always been involved in the arts (an accomplished painter and guitar player). Mo recalls being fed heavy musical meals of The Beatles, Elvis, Bill Haley, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, just to name a few. He has pictures of himself at the age of three intensely concentrating on how to play a guitar, but at the age of 14 fell in love with the Bass.

He started playing with friends and began taking lessons with the local pros. One of his first real working band was an Elvis Tribute band. When Mo's formal education ended, he apprenticed as an electrician and took a job as a technician in a company all the while playing in several bands. After years of a day job he didn’t much care for, Mo decided to get involved seriously as a professional musician. He packed his bags, sold his belongings and said goodbye to his friends and moved to Los Angeles to study and train at The Musicians Institute. Upon graduation (awarded outstanding student) he was asked to stay and teach. He’s doing casuals, jingles, sessions and had collaborations either live and studio with various artists…
